3 Moons Project

Jehane Rucquoi is a Belgian-American artist who has pioneered eco-building in the American desert.   She has an M.F.A. from Pius XII Institute in Florence, Italy.  Her time in the desert is divided with her career as a painter in Brussels, where she spends half the year.

Many in this part of the Mojave desert consider Jehane a major inspiration to their own eco and sustainability projects as she continues her brand of off-grid living well into her eighties.

The 3 Moons Project is a way for Jehane to fall into harmony with her own circadian rhythms.  The earth domes mimic the diurnal procession of celestial bodies.   It's this rhythm that she believes will attract community looking to reify ancestral bonds.  And through this community, there can be a focus on healing the community's bond with nature.
